You Are Not The Artist…

If you remix or edit any tracks this post might be about you. There is nothing more frustrating than getting mp3′s and having to re-tag them because DJ (insert name) has put their name as the artist. We get it, you took the time to remix or edit the track and you want the proper credit. However, you are not Rihanna or Adele. They are the “artist” and not you. I usually end up putting the remixer name after the title of the track so I remember who did it. For example…”We Found Love” (Ghost Producer remix). When I search for a track while I’m spinning, I wanna look up the actual “artist”, and not your name. So please help us save some time and try to tag the mp3′s properly. This has been a PSA for us beatmatchers of the world. Thank you
