“the reality is…new kids blow up on tunes they make on their home computers. then they are booked to perform “live” or “dj” but dont know how. so they use every technological trick in the book to disguise the fact they dont know how to actually dj or more importantly…program a set. it isn’t just about linking some tunes together. its about playing music in real time and being able to adjust your set for every show depending on crowd reaction. thats why pre-programmed sets are a joke IMO. my opinion is…learn how to really dj. then do what you gotta do. dont take shortcuts in the beginning because you will never learn. and furthermore…when you are asked about…dont say the “you cant ignore technology” line to me. you can either sing or lip sync…fuck technology. either play the game or not…dont use cheat codes and think you are really doing something. you arent.”
