Industry insiders know DJ Gigahurtz best for his impeccable skill, smart affiliations and reputation for being a leader the digital DJ movement. The 21 and over Portland, Oregon-club crowd knows DJ Gigahurtz for throwing some of the hottest events in town, such as "Last Friday," which features nationally recognized DJs as well as his many weekly residencies.
His love for music is innate but his devotion to DJing started in his dorm room at La Sierra University in Riverside, California. "A friend introduced me to the basics, beat-matching, juggling and scratching. At that time I was studying computer technology, so fusing my love of technology and music, was natural for me" explains DJ Gigahurtz. Incorporating his computer skills and musical production to create party mixes immediately set him apart from other DJs at that time.
DJ Gigahurtz has always been an innovator and an industry trendsetter. His evolving style and ability to elevate any event is expressed with his unique mix that includes Top 40, Rock, 80’s, Mashups, Hip Hop, Classic Rock and Electro. He calls this high energy, signature sound "Gigzsterz;" it grabs hold and commands every party.
DJ Gigahurtz has single-handedly introduced Portland to some of the best national DJ talent, bringing friends to HIS town and spinning along side DJ Felli Fell, DJ Latin Prince, DJ Scotty Boy, Dj Quickie, Dj Phenom and DJ E Rock, to name a few. DJ Gigahurtz is sought after by many of the hottest clubs and promoters in Portland, OR and holds residencies at ENVY, Solo and Bettieford. He has also graced the turntables in Las Vegas at OPM, in Miami at Diddy’s "All White Party," and at the celebrity hot spot Area in Los Angeles.
DJ Gigahurtz is an official MySpace DJ, Board of Director of the Bumsquad DJs and a part of the European DJ League. He has released a dozen mixtapes that feature independent artists such as Balance, as well as label giants such as Chamillionaire, DJ Gigahurtz was instrumental in helping Trey Songz "Cant Help But Wait" (Atlantic Records, 2008) achieve significant radio exposure, resulting in the number 2 position on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Singles Billboard Chart.
However, DJ Gigahurtz is much more than a beat doctor, his ingenuity and entrepreneurial spirit has led him to collaborate with DJ Crime and create a DJ/production group called Gigzsterz. Together they create club remixes that are sold online on Crack4djs.com and are used by many DJs across the country.
His talent for buzz marketing, has also landed DJ Gigahurtz promotional work for corporate giants such as Nike Soccer and Nike Women, Universal Records and Bumsquad DJs, which has lead him to create his own full service, digital marketing company called King of Digital. He is also founder and CEO of Vinylbreakers, a digital media outlet that distributes records by the thousands to member DJs around the world.
DJ Gigahurtz is in the process of launching his own digital record label and nationally syndicated radio show for 2009. He also has a national Gigzsterz club tour in the works and will continue to build King of Digital as the go to digital marketing source for the music industry. DJ Gigahurtz will also continue his many club residencies and add Video DJ to his resume in the New Year.
